Five Table Topics techniques our members swear by
Impromptu speaking is a skill, not a gift. These five techniques will get you from "uh…" to a structured answer in seconds.
1. Buy a beat. Repeat the question. It’s not stalling — it’s framing.
2. Pick a structure. Past–present–future. Problem–solution. Point–reason–example. Any structure beats no structure.
3. Land one point. One clear idea, well told, beats three half-ideas.
4. Tell a story. Specifics are memorable; generalities evaporate.
5. End with intent. Stop talking when you’ve made your point. The pause is the punctuation.
